B A M B O O

Once upon a time, in the heart of the Western Kingdom, lay a beautiful garden. And there, in the cool of the day, the Master of the garden was wont to walk. Of all the denizens of the garden, the most beautiful and most beloved was gracious and noble bamboo. Year after year, bamboo grew yet more noble and gracious, conscious of his Master’s love and watchful delight, but modest and gentle withal. And often when the wind came to revel in the garden, Bamboo would cast aside his grave stateliness, to dance and play right merrily, tossing and swaying and leaping and bowing in joyous abandon, leading the Great Dance of the garden, Which most delighted the Master’s heart.

Now, once upon a day, the Master himself drew near to contemplate his Bamboo with eyes of curious expectancy. And Bamboo, in a passion of adoration, bowed his great head to the ground in loving greeting.

The Master spoke: “Bamboo, Bamboo, I would use you.”
Bamboo flung his head to the sky in utter delight. The day of days had come, the day for which he had been made, the day to which he had been growing hour by hour, the day in which he would find his completion and his destiny.

His voice came low: “Master, I’m ready. Use me as Thou wilt.”
“Bamboo,” – The Master’s voice was grave --- “I would have to take you and cut you down!”
A trembling of great horror shook Bamboo…”Cut …me… down ? Me.. who thou, Master, has made the most beautiful in all thy Garden…cut me down! Ah, not that. Not that. Use me for the joy, use me for the glory, oh master, but cut me not down!”
Beloved Bamboo,”—The Master’s voice grew graver still—“If I cut you not down, I cannot use you.”

The garden grew still. Wind held his breath. Bamboo slowly bent his proud and glorious head. There was a whisper:
“Master, if thou cannot use me other than to cut me down.. then do thy will and cut”.
“Bamboo, beloved Bamboo, I would cut your leaves and branches from you also”.
“Master, spare me. Cut me down and lay my beauty in the dust; but would thou also have to take from me, my leaves and branches too?”
“Bamboo, if I cut them not away, I cannot use you.”
The Sun hid his face. A listening butterfly glided fearfully away. And Bamboo shivered in terrible expectancy, whispering low: “Master, cut away”
“Bamboo, Bamboo, I would yet… split you in two and cut out your heart, for if I cut not so, I cannot use you.”

Then Bamboo bowed to the ground: “Master, Master… then cut and split.”
So did the Master of the garden took Bamboo…and cut him down…and hacked off his branches…and stripped off his leaves…and split him in two…and cut out his heart.
And lifting him gently, carried him to where there was a spring of fresh sparkling water in the midst of his dry fields. Then putting one end of the broken Bamboo in the spring and the other end into the water channel in His field, the Master laid down gently his beloved Bamboo… And the spring sang welcome, and the clear sparkling waters raced joyously down the channel of bamboo’s torn body into the waiting fields. Then the rice was planted, and the days went by, and the shoots grew and the harvest came.

In that day Bamboo, once so glorious in his stately beauty, was yet more glorious in his brokenness and humility. For in his beauty he was life abundant, but in his brokenness he became a channel of abundant life to his Master’s world.

F A I L U R E

hello guys! long time no talk...

i am so excited this week since i am planning to enroll in law school this first semester. I had gone to school to be evaluated. Upon evaluation, it came out that i am not qualified to proceed in law because i don't have any units in filipino and only 15 units in english. That was so pathetic since it was not my fault that i wasn't able to earn units in filipino. I don't know why our school or shall i say my course doesn't require to take those subjects. hahay!

Actually, i had decided to earn those unit this summer but due to some conflicts in time schedule i wasn't able to enroll. HUhuhu! that's why i need to take those units this semester and maybe if GOD's will next year I will enroll to law school. HOPEFULLY! (crossfinger) ahehhehe.

M O T H E R

A mother's love, a Mother's care,

A mother's sigh, a Mother's prayer

A Mother's work, and Mother's day,

Leaves little time for any play.

A godly Mother with godly love,

Is treasure from God above,

A godly Mother with godly above,

A godly Mother with godly care,

Has God's help when she sighs a prayer.

niCe lyRics of Song

Who Am I lyrics
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You're
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in meI am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear'
Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

re G enerate y O ur bo D y

hello guys! here am i again! i was being invited to have a dinner one of my churchmates' place. i can't decide that time since the call/meeting time was at 6:30 and we still have meeting with my officemates. Aside from that, i had something to finish some paperworks. After my work, i decided not to go to the his place but rather i go to regeneration. for the information to everybody, regeneration is a youth encounter- students, out of school youths and young professionals. I was not wrong to my decision since even I haven't had my dinner with my churchmate at least i had dinner with GOD. hehehe! It is really refreshing when you worship GOD for the things that He done for your life for the whole week. i really praise God for He is worthy of it.
this was one of the things i had learned to my life. remember the driver that I had told to you last nyt? Life is just so short! isn't it? so don't waste it. Live with a purpose. personally, i know my purpose and that is to serve God for the rest of my life. Serve Him. Do not be worry in serving the Lord because truly your labor in God is not in vain.

Have a nice day!

pAthetic acCident

one night when i and my friend were walking from a cafe going back to our apartment there was this loud "bang" from behind. Unknowingly, since it was so dark we are so blind to was really happening. 'til such time people were become panic to see those two vehicles (pick up and a tricycle) in that position. out of curiousity, we went to the area where the paThetic accident happened. It was such a horrible thing happen to the tricycle's driver since he was the one hit by the pick up. the driver's blood was on the ground. the accident was pahetic because people were just keep on looking to what was haapening and didn't call an ambulance or a 911 for emergency help. How pathetic it was!!! after 5 minutes the police arrived. again no one attempted to take the driver to the hospital since police need to have an investigation first. hahay!

hope the driver is still alright. bye

baDminton sChed today

hello again! im very excited today since its our schedule for our badminton game. Because of this excitement I had forgot my badminton racket in our house. hayz! I really had to go home first after work before going to the gym. It really pissed me off since i have to walk almost 2 kilometer in order for me to get my racket. ehehhe. then when i arrive to the gym, there was this your lady in the lobby waiting for her friends. I also sit on the chair that is infront of the chair where the girl sit pretending that I also wait my teammates. hehehe! 5 minutes later her friends arrived. So, i dont have a choice but to wait my teammates ALONE... hehhe.

during the game, adiks are playing like theres no other time to play. hehehe.. Unfortunately, we only have 1 court reservation for 2 hours and there are many people in out team. So we really need to minimize our time in playing so that all other players can play also. Hahay. BITIN...

badminton or reunion?

I was invited with my churchmate to play badminton with his officemates during that time. I was hesitate to join since it was their game (but still i go-"sayang naman ang laro"). hehehe. Adik talaga... They plan was at 5 o'clock we should be in the place. But since, I was very excited playing with them, I was there at 4. I waited for an hour( kawawa naman). They arrived at 6... huhuuh(naging 2 hours pa). when they arrived i had notice these two guys that are looked familiar to me. I approached them and say "hello". when they saw me they were amazed. "What a small world", i cried. The two were my classmates. One of them was my classmate in elementary and the other one was in high school. Hahay!!! "grabe kaliit lang talga ng mundo". Then we played until 10 in the evening. (adik din pala ang mga 'to).

So, for you is it just a badminton game or a reunion? Or may be both! hehehe. Bye! take care!

God bless!

badminton adik meets badminton adik 1

hahaha!!! I was a badminton jock when i was in college. In fact i was a member of the badminton varsity team. For 3 years i survived to be a member of that team. But during my fourt year in college, I stopped my training and quit as member. Only last year, October 2007 to be exact, when I play again not with my teammates but with my officemates. It was just a try when I play with them until such time they invited me to joined with their group. Kaya ngayon todo badminton na.. hahaha!!! We had already done our first tournament (just within the group), and we're third (actually we just have 4 teams). At least we are not last. hehehe.

As of now, we are planning to have our season 2 tournament with additional set of pairs. ehehhe. Its show time na naman. Tara... lets play badminton...

my nick

My friends and classmates call me banx. Do you know why? the story goes like this...

During college days, i had this set of friends (they were my classmates too). It was one morning wherein we don't have our class. These classmates of mine were inviting me to play billards. As we play, one of my classmates shout at me saying "mangku"... (mangku means mangkukulam). It is because when we played I never lossed. hehehe.. and they keep on yelling "mangkukulam, kinukulam mo ata kami" hehhehe... It just so happened that im lucky.. hahaha. during that time, they call me "mangku". and since im quite thin they changed it to "bangkay". SO instead of "bangkay", i suggested to be "BANX". para mas may dating. heheheh. kay yun im "banx"

Even my teachers and schoolmate call me with that nick. Even until now, in our office... hehehe. Go banx

my ministry

Ever since I really love dancing. Even during college, I wanted to dance. That is why I joined Bayla Vinta, a dance groupe. Right now, I have my own dance ministry in our church. We are performing dances for the glory of GOD such as godly hiphop, interpretative and dance drama. We have our regular practices every Saturdays and Sundays at exactly 1 PM. If you are interested just message me so that I could give you more informations. I invite you all to join to our ministry. This is not a JOKE!!! hehehe... tara na. lets dance for HIM.

Bye. GOD bless!!!

hi

i'm new here. hope to see you soon... hehehe
